A film about water, angst and perforated brains.

Man is infested with internal parasites, sometimes causing fatal effects; and is plagued by external parasites, all of which belong to the same genera or families as those infesting other mammals, and in the case of scabies to the same species. Man is subject, like other mammals, birds, and even insects, to that mysterious law, which causes certain normal processes, such as gestation, as well as the maturation and duration of various diseases, to follow lunar periods.

The film premiered at the H20 art festival at Blå/Stretch/Akerselva, Oslo 28 – 30 May 1999. Was also screened as an intro for a gig with Biosphere at Blå. Hydrophobia was screened as a part of the film programme at The Quart Festival, Kristiansand July 1999.

Hydrophobia featurers the track Mystery System by Neil Cole aka Djum Djum, known for his collaborations with Leftfield. His vocals on the track Afro Left on the the brilliant Leftfield album Leftism from 1995 is legendary.

The Satyricon music in this film is Blessed From Below (Melancholy, Oppression, Longing) from the EP Intermezzo II, Moonfog productions 1998 FOG021CD. The EP that was succeeded by the highly acclaimed Rebel Extravaganza full length. The first version of A moment of Clarity, the raging Sarcófago cover Inri, the pounding remix of Nemesis Divina and the cold Blessed from Below. It got 9.5 out of 10 in Rock Hard when it came out. Blessed From Below recorded at the Thorns facilities January 1999 by Satyr and S.W. Krupp.
