A1 two-sided poster for the exhibition NAT during Tokyo Graphic Passport 23–29 September 2010. Participating in the exhibition are Bleed, Halvor Bodin, Node Oslo, Your Friends, Sletten & Østvold, Bendik Kaltenborn and Kristian Hammerstad. The exhibition consist of 7 different two-side A1 posters, one by each participant, available for free for the visitors.

My poster: ボーNATの折り紙ポスター is printed in K (ブラック) on one side and CMY (シアン、マゼンタ、イエロー) on the other. The poster contains my own functional (but kind of non-figurative) origami designs made in the software Treemaker 5 by Robert J. Lang. The text on the black side is in Japanese only and represents fragmented thought-sketches for my cancelled lecture performed in a poster format. Thanks to Google Translate/Analytics. I just have to say

Bleed and Node Oslo will speak at the event. I was supposed to give a talk but had to cancel the trip because of 他のプロジェクト. Node Oslo stepped in for me. Bleed will hold workshops and the rest of the Norwegians will present in the portfolio program.

Supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo and Norsk Form/The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

20th Oslo International Film Festival 18–28 November 2010.
Follow OIFF on Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo and Flickr.

This series of 480 unique 100 x 70 cm posters are made specifically to celebrate the 20th anniversary of OIFF in 2010. 20 seconds represents 20 years. 24 frames per second equals 480 posters in 20 seconds. Each poster is marked with a unique edition number and a date that represents a point in the timeline from the beginning of the first festival 25 November 1991 to the end of the 20th festival 28 November 2010. In addition a corresponding unique time code and all are hand signed by Halvor Bodin. The posters will be updated with additional info such as venues when all is set.

The posters are designed as one proper 20 sec animation, but in full 300 ppi print resolution. Sequential numbers are automatically added in the animation. Elements in the animation are reactive to sound input from the official OIFF theme by Pokelok (Nils Ødegaard & Thomas Olaussen).

More posters will be displayed here when they are printed. Both as animation and photographed in physical locations.

There will be two more series of posters for OIFF 2010. One super limited edition screen printed 100 x 70 cm with a totally different concept as well as one series of offset 100 x 70 cm two-sided posters. Again a third concept, but with typographic elements that links everything together.

Technology used: Adobe After Effects and Processing. as well as the usual Adobe CS5 print applications.

Showbox 2010. 30 November–3 December on Black Box and other venues in Oslo

The National Touring Network for the Performing Arts (NTNPA) is a national promotion system for the performing arts. The system facilitates tours of stage productions, thereby offering them to a wider public, with emphasis on children and young people.

The Showbox 2010 logo designed by Halvor Bodin is ready. Posters, banners, booklets, flyers and new website will appear later. The colour scheme changes every year, the logo is based on a slowly changing isometric stage box and the same typography. This year’s logo and colour scheme is a homage to the Steve Jobs’ NeXT Computer and NeXTcube and the fantastic NeXT logo designed by Paul Rand.

Qisas was a Function project that is put together by Halvor Bodin in 1998. I remade the material into two spreads published in print in my column Dezine in Kreativt Forum September 2001.

There are elements/typography/photos from Marius Watz, Kim Hiorthøy, Torgeir Holm, Magnus Rakeng, Observatoriet, Chester, Trond Vestengen in here.

Dedicated to god aka allah.

All the issues of Dezine can be downloaded as pdf (the oldest ones in html).
